(Nose) Whistle While You Work
Ok, so this whole stuffy nose thing is becoming tiresome. I have tried everything I can -- saline nasal spray, vaseline up the ol' nostrils -- and still I'm all stuffed up AND there's a horrible wheezing sound every time I breathe. Aside from that, no other complaints.

Oh, who am I kidding? OF COURSE there are other complaints! I'm not sleeping well this week, thanks to the aforementioned snotty sniffer, but also due to the new body pillow I bought. Supposedly, pregnant women need all sorts of extra support and a full-length body pillow is highly recommended. So I bought a cheap one at Bed Bath & Beyond and I've been using it the past three or four nights. Except I don't really know how to use it. It's so big -- it's almost like having another adult in the bed. And no matter how well I contort my body around it before I fall asleep, I keep waking up throughout the night off of it, and on my back (which is a big no-no for pregnant women, apparently). On the upside, the cats seem to love it. So what I've really purchased is an oversized cat bed that I sleep with.

Let's see... what else... oh -- acne. It's still driving me up the wall. No matter what I do to take care of my skin, my face is hell-bent on creating a new eruption along my jawline every damn day. I've become a master make-up artist, spackling on my BeneFit "Boi-ing!" concealer each morning and throughout the day. I complain about it often, but people keep telling me they can't notice, that I have "that pregnant woman glow." (One thing: you people have got the obligatory compliment-the-pregnant-woman-thing down pat! Way to go! It's a good skill to have, sort of like parallel parking, or nose whistling.)

Ugh, and the "round ligament pains" are painful! (I guess that's why they call them "pains" and not "fun.") As your uterus grows, you actually feel the muscles stretching and expanding, and it's not all that pleasant. Sometimes, they can be really sharp and kind of take your breath away. Truly, it's amazing how this little fetus takes over your whole body.

Almost the end of the day, so time to shut down and get the hell out o' here for the weekend (yay - naps!).
