3:15 p.m. - 2006-06-09 (YES. I AM EXAGGERATING. Just indulge me, ok?) But seriously, folks. The weight gain is still on the rise. When I got on the scale this morning, it said, "One person at a time, please." Ba-dum-bum. I'll be here all week, folks! And remember to be good to your waiters. I actually haven't gained any weight since the weekend (my prime time for becoming undone, food-wise, unless you count weeknights, too, when I seem to crave ice cream nightly, expecially after yoga, which is right next to the 7-11, which has a freezer full of yummy frozen delights, including the much-loved toll house cookie ice cream sandwich, as well as a newfound delicacy, the Snickers brownie bar). Anyway. But the weight I have gained is getting uncomfortable again, and now I'm feeling it in my hips when I walk. Oh, god, I'm becoming my grandmother! But today, it totally sidelined me as I traipsed through the mall at lunch -- and if you know me, you know there's not much that can prematurely end a shopping trip in my world. After picking through all the eyeshadow duos at Sephora (the gift certificate a client gave me recently was burning a hole in my handbag), I decided on Cargo's "Boise" and decided I'd really had enough. I clomped through the mall to the parking lot, unlocked my car and fell into the seat with an audible sigh so loud that I embarrassed myself in front of myself. All this typing has made me ravenous, and I'm off to the fridge for a mini Laughing Cow swiss cheese to slather on some whole-wheat wheat thins. And, oooh, tonight's pizza night!
